How can Practice Based Research flourish in HE institutions?
The Facility: Research Centre for Creative Practice at London Metropolitan University, invites you to an afternoon discussion addressing the questions:
What structures are necessary to enable and support practice-led research in the arts in Higher education?
What are the various roles of research groups and centres and what activities can they most usefully engage in?
The Facility at London Met aims to develop opportunities in which creative practitioners working in performance, image, text, sound, object and space may engage in productive dialogue, exchange ideas and work collaboratively on practice-led research projects
We are inviting practitioners, artists and academics from research centres or other bodies associated with practice based research in the arts at HE level to come together to discuss their work and to share ideas.
Date: Wednesday 19 September 2012
Time: 2- 5pm
Venue: London Metropolitan University,
166 – 220 Holloway Road,
London N7 8DB
Power point facilities will be available for short informal presentations, so please do bring information about projects your organisation has been involved to share.
